Susan's Story
Susan was a unique individual with so many charming attributes. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, and daughter. Generous to friends, family, and strangers with both time and resources. Warm and outgoing always. Strangers quickly became friends. She was a treasured asset everywhere she worked. Devoted to Girl Scouts, leader of two troops, Cookie Queen. Trivia whiz and maker of the world's best breakfast bowls. Lover of Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, and volcanoes.
Susan was born and raised in Visalia, California, attending Mt Whitney High School and being elected Senior Class President. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. She settled in Petaluma, California, with her husband Jon Hurley and daughters, Freya & Cinnia. In Petaluma, she built friendships deep and wide. Her passing is a shock to all who knew and loved her. We will love and miss her deeply and always.
Susan is survived by her husband Jon and her daughters, Freya and Cinnia; father Bernard Hansen, Happy Valley, OR and stepfather Roy Edward Toschi, Madera, CA; brother James Toschi, San Francisco, CA and sisters Michelle Hansen, Portland, OR and Carol Zelenke, Ashburn, VA.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Toschi.
